This petition started at a barbeque party in Skien after the ezConference on 20th June 2008. I was talking with Josh Rowley (Lead Developer at Vision with Technology Ltd) about coffee and he mentioned that although they had a cafetiere they did not have an espresso machine at work and that he and Massimo Sanna (Developer) had asked for one so that they could have proper coffee. We joked about it and spoke to James Eichhorn (COO) and he said: "If you gather 200 signatures I will buy an espresso machine". When I said I would do it he added that "every signatory should state a reason for why Josh and Max should have a coffee machine"
I seized the opportunity to mingle with everybody at the party, took out my moleskin and put myself down as the first signatory on the petition. One thing led to the other and a little while later I had 43 signatures in at least 4 languages!
I showed them to James and he said "So we said 100 signatures did we not?"
It has been a few days since the conference ended and I finally got time to put this online. I'm keen to support Josh and Max my fellow developers in order to help them get their espresso machine.
